Since 1906, we have evolved from a four generation, family-owned construction company to a diversified firm representing various industries including engineering, renewable energy, real estate, technology, and beyond. Our entrepreneurial spirit propels us to continually grow and innovate as a company and our history keeps us grounded in our core values. Our holdings span diverse markets and geographies, allowing us to pursue opportunities whenever and wherever we see potential. Our holding company structure provides strategic support services to maintain continuity and efficiency across our portfolio.

The Timeline

  • 1906

    1906

    Tony Conti (“Honest Tony”) immigrated to the United States and started T.N. Conti & Sons, building stonewalls, steps and patios.

  • 1938

    1938

    Tony’s son, Gerald, started Conti Contractors, expanding the business to encompass both private and public clients, constructing sewers, small roads, waterproofing basements.

  • 1959

    1959

    Gerald’s son, Nat, formed Conti Construction Company. He kept family tradition and stressed the importance of quality craftsmanship coupled with high integrity. Constructing channels/culverts, large sewer systems, basement waterproofing, snow plowing.

  • 1979

    1979

    Conti establishes itself as an environmental contractor and continues to diversify both civil and environmental services with environmental construction, DOE FUSRAP program, NJDOT roads/bridges, large site work, etc.

  • 1990

    1990

    Kurt Conti, in close collaboration with management team, began to turn Conti from a local contractor, into an industry leader in transportation, power, dams, major civil projects, and telecommunications.

  • 1991

    1991

    Renamed Conti Enterprises, Inc.

  • 1992

    1992

    Establishes Conti Environmental, Inc.

  • 1995

    1995

    Kurt Conti took over as CEO of Conti.

  • 1998

    1998

    Conti Federal Services in established and begins completing projects for the federal government.

  • 2002

    2002

    Began our first project in the solar industry.

  • 2007

    2007

    Conti is an established national corporation providing heavy infrastructure development, environmental remediation, power, renewable and infrastructure security services to federal, state/local public clients, and private clients

  • 2008

    2008

    First International projects completed in Guam and Spain.

  • 2010

    Conti Federal Services opens New Orleans office to service USACE New Orleans: Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project.

  • 2010

    Sundurance renamed Conti Solar.

  • 2011

    Founding investor in Edge Therapeutics, beginning Conti’s investments in biotechnical.

    Conti Federal Services wins first contract for project in Israel.

  • 2014

    Conti Enterprises opens southern division serving the Carolinas.

    Began BuildSourced – a technology company revolutionizing industrial asset tracking and analytics.

    Conti is a founding General Partner in East Light Capital Fund

    BuildSourced renamed Tenna: introduced with expanded capabilities and new product line.

  • 2017

    The Conti Group is formally established as a holding company.

    Conti Solar sells 70% of shares to Ares Management Corporation’s Infrastructure and Power Group.

  • 2021

    Conti sells remaining 30% of shares of CS Energy to American Securities.
